EASTERN PALACE SUITE - FRIENDS FOREVER

Hello, happy Sunday everyone!
Today I have a simple friendship card design to share with you all,
I'll be show casing a new suite from the 2017 - 2018 Annual Catalogue.

Today’s card design is all about the new Eastern Palace Suite Bundles,
I’ve also used one of the new gorgeous 2017 - 2019 In Colors, Tranquil Tide.

My card base is an A2 top folding card made out of Whisper White Thick Cardstock,
Again I’ve used the Stampin' Trimmer for all my trimming and paper scoring today.

To create the background for my card design I’ve used two of the stamps from the new
Eastern Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set, the five petal medallion and the dotted circle.
Stamping the images in Tranquil Tide Ink and Crumb Cake Ink, directly onto the card front.

To give my card a pretty matching envelope I’ve also stamped onto the back flap of a
Whisper White C6 Envelope, using the same two stamps as for the stamped background.

I had to show off the beautiful Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies, they are absolutely stunning!
I’ve used the gorgeous large flower medallion die and have die cut it from a Gold Foil Sheet.

The Friends Forever sentiment also comes from the Eastern Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set,
I've stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink onto my Tranquil Tide Cardstock before heat
embossing the sentiment with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder.

I’ve then used the Layering Circle Framelits Dies to die cut out the Friends Forever sentiment,
The circle fits perfectly into the centre of the gold foil flower medallion, completing the flower.

I adhered the flower medallion over the stamped background using Stampin' Dimensionals,
I've then popped up the sentiment with more Stampin' Dimensionals onto the foil flower.
This adds a 3D effect to the medallion flower and also gives the card design dimension.

Three gold sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment pack completed this card,
I attached them with the Fine Tip Glue Pen, great for adhering tiny embellishments!

I hope you enjoyed this friendship card using the new Eastern Palace Suite.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

CASOLOGY WEEK 244 - STRONG

Hello, happy Sunday everyone!
Today’s card I created for this week’s CASology challenge,
Our new cue card for week 244 at CASology is “STRONG”.

I’ve interpreted the word STONG as staying strong through a tough situation,
In this case I’ve chosen to create a compassionate card design for a friend.

I’ve chosen to create a minimal card design with plenty of open with space,
I’ve used a simple colour scheme with a big pop of colour for the sentiment.

My card base is an A2 top folding card made out of Whisper White Thick Cardstock,
Again I’ve used the Stampin' Trimmer for all my trimming and paper scoring today.

The pretty focal image on today's card is from the Beautiful You Clear Mount Stamp Set,
I’ve stamped the silhouette image directly on the card base in Basic Black Archival Ink.

To give my card a matching envelope I also repeatedly stamped the silhouette image onto
the back flap of a Whisper White C6 Envelope, using Basic Black Archival Ink once again.

The “brighter days” sentiment also comes from the Beautiful You Clear Mount Stamp Set,
I’ve stamped the sentiment with Basic Black Archival Ink onto Bermuda Bay Cardstock.

To complete the design, I trimmed the sentiment end off at an angle before popping it up
with Stampin' Dimensionals, this adds some dimension to the design so it isn’t completely flat.
And lastly I added three Brights Enamel Shapes in Bermuda Bay around the silhouette image.

I hope you enjoyed this minimal, compassionate card design,
Thanks so much for stopping by!

WHAT I LOVE - FLORAL BACKGROUND

Hello, happy Wednesday everyone!
Today I have a stamped floral background card design to share with you all,
I’ve used one of my favourite retired stamp sets from last year’s Sale-A-Bration.

I’ve used this stamp set to create a modern background design using a bold colour,
Adding just a small amount of colour pop and an accent of gold to finish things off.

I started by making an A2 top folding card out of Whisper White Thick Cardstock.
Again I’ve used the Stampin' Trimmer for all my trimming and paper scoring today.

I’ve then taken four of the beautiful floral and foliage stamp images that come in the
retired What I Love Photopolymer Stamp Set to create a pretty stamped background,
I’ve stamped the various images in Basic Black Archival Ink to create a bold tone.

I also stamped the same pattern to the back flap of a Whisper White C6 Envelope,
A matching envelope is always a nice finishing touch for your handmade cards.

The Thank You sentiment comes from the same What I Love Photopolymer Stamp Set,
I’ve stamped the sentiment onto Old Olive Cardstock using Basic Black Archival Ink,
The Old Olive Cardstock adds a nice pop of colour to this bold card design.

I adhered the stamped sentiment strip on top of a small bundle of Gold Metallic Thread,
Popping the sentiment up with Foam Adhesive Stripes to add dimension to the card.

The finishing touch for today’s project were a few Metallic Sequin Assortments in gold,
The gold sequins helped tie in the gold thread and also added a feminine touch.
I adhered the sequins to the card front using the handy Fine Tip Glue Pen.

I hope you enjoyed this floral background card design,
Thanks so much for stopping by!

CAROUSEL BIRTHDAY - BIRTHDAY CARD

Hello, happy Saturday everyone!
Today I have a quick and easy birthday card to share with you all,
I’ve used one of my favourite stamp sets from the new 2017 Occasions Catalogue.

For those of you who know me, you know I’m pretty fond of the “less is more” style,
I’ve used that same style for today’s card opting to keep things minimal, but still cute!

For today’s project I made an A2 top folding card out of Whisper White Thick Cardstock,
Using the oh so handy Stampin' Trimmer (Metric) to do all my trimming and paper scoring.

The focal image on today's card is from the Carousel Birthday Clear Mount Stamp Set.
I’ve stamped the gorgeous little Carousel Horse onto my card front in Blushing Bride Ink.

To give my card a matching envelope I also stamped the little Carousel Horse repeatedly
onto the back flap of a Whisper White C6 Envelope, using Blushing Bride Ink once again.

The Happy Birthday sentiment comes from the Thoughtful Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set,
I've stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink onto my Basic Black sentiment strip before
heat embossing the sentiment with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

I adhered the heat embossed sentiment stripe over the middle of the Carousel Horse,
adhering the strip down with a Foam Adhesive Stripe to give the card some dimension.

Lastly I added three Subtles Enamel Shapes in Blushing Bride around the horse image.
There you have it, a super quick and easy card for when you’re pressed for time.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and get some crafting time in,
Thanks so much for stopping by!
