CASOLOGY WEEK 244 - STRONG

Hello, happy Sunday everyone!
Today’s card I created for this week’s CASology challenge,
Our new cue card for week 244 at CASology is “STRONG”.

I’ve interpreted the word STONG as staying strong through a tough situation,
In this case I’ve chosen to create a compassionate card design for a friend.

I’ve chosen to create a minimal card design with plenty of open with space,
I’ve used a simple colour scheme with a big pop of colour for the sentiment.

My card base is an A2 top folding card made out of Whisper White Thick Cardstock,
Again I’ve used the Stampin' Trimmer for all my trimming and paper scoring today.

The pretty focal image on today's card is from the Beautiful You Clear Mount Stamp Set,
I’ve stamped the silhouette image directly on the card base in Basic Black Archival Ink.

To give my card a matching envelope I also repeatedly stamped the silhouette image onto
the back flap of a Whisper White C6 Envelope, using Basic Black Archival Ink once again.

The “brighter days” sentiment also comes from the Beautiful You Clear Mount Stamp Set,
I’ve stamped the sentiment with Basic Black Archival Ink onto Bermuda Bay Cardstock.

To complete the design, I trimmed the sentiment end off at an angle before popping it up
with Stampin' Dimensionals, this adds some dimension to the design so it isn’t completely flat.
And lastly I added three Brights Enamel Shapes in Bermuda Bay around the silhouette image.

I hope you enjoyed this minimal, compassionate card design,
Thanks so much for stopping by!

CASOLOGY WEEK 243 - ICING

Hello, happy Sunday everyone!
Today’s card I created for this week’s CASology challenge,
Our new tasty cue card for week 243 at CASology is “ICING”.

I’ve chosen to create a minimal card design with plenty of open with space,
I’ve used minimal colour, while allowing a big pop of colour for the focal image.

My card base is an A2 top folding card made out of Whisper White Thick Cardstock,
Again I’ve used the Stampin' Trimmer for all my trimming and paper scoring today.

The focal image on today's card is from the Carousel Birthday Clear Mount Stamp Set.
For the cupcake bases I’ve stamped in Early Espresso Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock
And the cupcake icing is stamped in Calypso Coral Ink onto Calypso Coral Cardstock.

I’ve then used the coordinating Up & Away Thinlits Dies to die cut out the cupcake pieces.
These Thinlits coordinate with the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and the Carousel Birthday Stamp Set.

Next I adhered the cupcake bases directly to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
To accentuate the icing I adhered each icing top to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals,
this really makes the icing pop and adds some dimension to the card design.

The little birthday sentiment comes from the Thoughtful Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set,
I’ve stamp the sentiment under the three cupcakes, using Early Espresso Ink once again.

As a finishing touch I used the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush to apply some glitter to the
icing on each cupcake, this adds a nice sparkle to the design without overpowering it.

I hope you enjoyed this sweet little cupcake card design,
Thanks so much for stopping by!

CASOLOGY WEEK 242 - GUEST DESIGNER

Hello, happy Tuesday everyone!
Today I have the absolute pleasure of being Guest Designer at CASology,
We have a super fun new cue card for week 242 at CASology and its “TEXT”.

I’ve chosen to create a one layer, vintage style, Field Journal illustration card design,
I’ve used a simple monochromatic colour scheme, with plenty of open white space.

My card base is an A2 top folding card made out of Whisper White Thick Cardstock,
Again I’ve used the handy Stampin' Trimmer for all my trimming and paper scoring today.

The focal image on my card today is made up of two very simple elements….
I’ve first stamped the little dragonfly from the Awesomely Artistic Clear Mount Stamp Set
directly onto the card front using Basic Black Archival Ink, this is a gorgeous little stamp!

Next to create my faux field notes (text), I've chosen a few of the inspiring words from the
Thoughtful Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set, I’ve stamped the words in a random fashion
on and around the dragonfly image in Basic Black Archival Ink once again.

To add some subtle detail to the card design and to give it a bit more of a vintage feel
I’ve added a small amount of light pen flicking using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.

Thank you to Melissa and all the design team members at CASology for having me,
I hope you’ve all enjoyed this vintage style field journal illustration card design.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

CASOLOGY WEEK 240 - FOLIAGE

Hello, happy Sunday everyone!
Today’s card I created for this week’s CASology challenge,
Our new cue card for week #240 at CASology is “FOLIAGE”.

I’ve chosen to create a simple yet elegant, masculine thank you card design,
I’ve gone crazy with green whilst containing it to a minimized area on my card.

My card base is an A2 top folding card made out of Whisper White Thick Cardstock,
Again I’ve used the handy Stampin' Trimmer for all my trimming and paper scoring today.

The foliage panel on today's card was made with the Banners For You Photopolymer Stamp Set,
Using one of the small leafy branch stamps in the set, I’ve repeatedly stamped the image onto
the small Whisper White Cardstock panel using Old Olive Ink to bring the foliage to life.

To give my card a matching envelope I also stamped the little leafy branch repeatedly
onto the back flap of a Whisper White C6 Envelope, using Old Olive Ink once again.

The little Thank you sentiment comes from the Thoughtful Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set,
I've stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink onto some Basic Black Cardstock before
heat embossing the sentiment with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

To give my card design some interest I’ve popped the stamped foliage panel up with
Stampin' Dimensionals, I then adhered the sentiment on top of the foliage panel with
more Stampin' Dimensionals to add another layer of dimension.

I hope you enjoyed this elegant, yet masculine card design,
Thanks so much for stopping by!
