Today I have
another card I created for the As You See It Challenge blog,
Im also playing along at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog this week.
Both blogs
have great challenges going on at the moment so I thought I’d combine the two.
I used this week’s
beautiful sketch from the As You See It Challenge blog for my card layout / design,
I then incorporated this week’s showcase product from the SSS Wednesday Challenge blog which is all about Memory Box products.
I then incorporated this week’s showcase product from the SSS Wednesday Challenge blog which is all about Memory Box products.
I started
off by using my We R Memory Keepers Trim & Score Board to trim down some of
my favourite Trophee Board White Linen 240 GSM cardstock, making an A2 top
folding card.
Next using a
Wplus9 stamp set called Fanciful Feathers I took the “So Grateful and For Your
Kindness” stamp and stamped this with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it
with Ranger Super Fine Black Embossing Powder to my card front.
I next trimmed
down some patterned paper from We R Memory Keepers to add to the top half of
the card design, using the My Favorite Things Blueprints #23 die set, I took
the scallop trim boarder and die cut a scallop trim from Watermelon Wonder cardstock
to add as a border to the bottom half of the pattered paper.
I then did a
bunch of die cutting using some of my favourite Memory Box products.
For the
large centre flower I used the Fancy Blossoms die set from Memory Box, die cutting
two flowers out of Watermelon Wonder cardstock, the gold centre piece in the
flower was made by using the smallest flower die from the Fancy Blossoms die
set, I die cut this out using some Gold Glimmer Paper.
For the two
smallest flowers I used the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack,
I punched
both flowers out using Vellum Cardstock to keep a soft feminine feel to the card,
I then added
a Black Candy Dot to the centre of both Vellum flowers to finish them off.
For the
leaves / foliage behind my flowers I used the Lorelai Outline Leaf die, die
cutting the leaves out of Basic Black cardstock, I also used the Hayden Twigs die, die cutting some twigs out
of Gold Glimmer Paper just to add some sparkle to the card design and also to
help fill out that area.
To finish
off the card I added a few Calypso Coral Candy Dots around the sentiment.
I hope you liked what I did with this weeks AYSI sketch and the Simon Says Stamp showcase product,
Have a
lovely week, and as always thanks for stopping by,
