Hello there, welcome back !
I'm sharing another birthday card today that I made for someone very special.
Her favourite colour is orange so I really wanted to incorporate this colour into her card, I have a few different shades of orange from Stampin’ Up! to choose from but I ended up deciding on Tangerine Tango which is more a peachy - orange colour than a bright Halloween orange.
I used the Banners Framelits Die set as the main element for this card.
To build up the layers I die cut a piece of Tangerine Tango cardstock using the second largest die, taking the next size down I die cut a Project Life 4" X 3" Grid Card which I used later to heat emboss my sentiment on using Ranger - Super Fine Black Embossing Powder, Now some people like the plain layered look of these banners (which is fine) but I felt it needed a focus point so I took the smallest die from the Deco Labels Collection Framelits Die set and die cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock to add to the top banner, to add a bit of sparkle to my card design I die cut some DCWV - Glitzy Glitter Cardstock using a Stitched Circle from Lil' Inker Designs and placed this in the centre of the Deco Label, I later decided I wanted to add some banner tails under the Stitched Circle so I die cut these in Tangerine Tango using the smallest die from the Banners Framelits Die set.

I wasn't quite happy with my card and felt it needed a bit more interest so I embossed the front panel using a spotted embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts, I also used the same folder to emboss the back flap of the envelope - plus, it's always nice to have a matching envelope to go with your card. Since she loves nature I added one of my dimensional butteries to the centre of the stitched circle - I didn't use Wink Of Stella on the butterfly this time as there was enough sparkle already - if I did this card again I would haved liked to wrap some black twine around the butterflies belly / center fold.
Very simple card but I didn't want to much on there as it would get crushed in the post.
Hopefully she liked her card and it arrived safe and sound. =)
Thanks for reading,
