Hello,
welcome back !
Today’s card
I created for the Stampin’ Celebration Challenge
blog,
For today's
card I’ll be joining Stampin’ Celebration for another
sketch challenge.
I have gone
and rotated the sketch to better suit the elements I have used on today’s
card,
I’ve also rotated
the sentiment, not really sure if we are allowed to do this but I I’m a rebel ; )
I got some new
Stampin’ Up! goodies in the mail this week and decided to play with a few of
the new stamp sets, dies and specialty papers I got in my order with today’s
card, hope you enjoy what I came up with.
As always I started off by using my We R Memory Keepers Trim & Score Board to trim down
some Trophee
Board White Linen 240 GSM cardstock, making an A2 top folding card.
I then
trimmed down some Gold Glimmer Paper to 2 3/8” by 5 7/8“ for my base panel, taking
some more Trophee Board White Linen cardstock for the second panel (the top
layer) I trimmed down my cardstock to 2 1/8” by 5 7/8”.
On to the
stamping… I first
stamped my leaf using the second smallest leaf from the Vintage Leaves Photopolymer
Stamp Set, stamped with the Mint Macaron Classic Stampin' Pad on to some Whisper White Cardstock.
I then used
the coordinating die to die cut my stamped image out, I also used the same die
to die cut another of the leaves out in some Kraft Corrugated Paper from Stampin’
Up! (love this paper).
Using the Timeless
Textures Clear Mount Stamp Set I took the beautiful swirly leaf / foliage stamp
and stamped my Trophee Board White Linen top panel with Sahara Sand ink, I also stamped the top left hand corner on my card front with the
same stamp to incorporate the embellishment from the sketch.
Lastly I used
the
Stampin’ Up! stamp set Wetlands and took the “Thinking
Of You” stamp and stamped this with Early Espresso ink on to my card front,
stamping to the bottom left hand side of my card.
To assemble my
card I adhered the Gold Glimmer Paper panel down to my card base using Tombow
Mono Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I then popped the Trophee Board White Linen panel up on some Best Creation Large 3D Foam
Tape Dots to add some dimension to the card.
Using some
Best Creation Small Square 3D Foam Tape Dots I adhered my Kraft Corrugated
Paper leaf to my Trophee Board White Linen panel, only just covering the bottom
of the stamped swirly leaf / foliage image, I then used a bit of Tombow Mono Multipurpose
Liquid Glue to ahere my stamped Mint Macaron leaf on top of the Corrugated
Paper leaf.
Lastly I tied
some Gold Metallic String into a little bow and adhered this to my Mint Macaron
leaf with a Mini Glue Dot, I also added a few Gold Enamel Dots from Doodlebug Design in two sizes around my leaves to finish
my card off.
I hope you enjoyed my take on this week’s Stampin’ Celebration sketch,
Have a
lovely weekend, and as always thanks so much for stopping by,
