STAMP INK PAPER CHALLENGE #33

Welcome back, I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far,
Today I have a card that I created for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge blog,

This week at the SIP Challenge blog we have a very fancy Colour Challenge !
Our chosen colours to use this week are Basic Black, Real Red and Gold.

As always I started off by using my We R Memory Keepers Trim & Score Board to trim down my favourite cardstock, making an A2 top folding card out of Trophee Board White Linen 240 GSM Paper.

Next using the My Favorite Things Blueprints 15, I took the large side angled die and die cut one panel in Basic Black cardstock and the other using some striped retired Season Of Style Designer Series Paper.

Using the larger heart from the Small Hearts Doily die set from Simon Says Stamp I then die cut my heart out of Basic Black cardstock, this die is a bit fiddley as you have to push out all the little bits left in the die cut but it is definitely worth the extra work as it very pretty when finished.

Using a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set called A Happy Thing I took the “Love Life” stamp and masked off the life so I was just left with love, I stamped this with Versamark ink to the middle of my die cut heart and heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder.

Because I felt this card needed just that little something more I also used the banner die from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 23 to add a pop of Real Red behind the Basic Black heart doily.

I adhered the two large side angled die cuts down to my card front using Tombow Mono Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I then added the banner to the heart doily using more Tombow Mono Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then popped the whole thing up with a few Best Creation Large 3D Foam Tape Dots so my card wasn’t completely flat.

To add the gold to the card and to tie in with the gold sentiment I also added some Gold Glimmer Paper flowers made with the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. I think this gave the card a really nice elegant / romantic sort of feel - or, that’s how I see it anyway. =)

That’s my card all finished, I hope you like what I came up with.
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,
